About Albemarle Driving School

Albemarle Driving School, LLC is a state licensed, bonded, and insured professional driving school for young adults under the age of 19 wanting to obtain his or her license. Albemarle Driving School, LLC is licensed by the State of Virginia and the Department of Motor Vehicles, and uses only the safest vehicles on the road.

Driving instruction begins in low traffic areas where the basics of driving are explained and demonstrated so that these skills can become habits. Throughout the behind the wheel instruction, emphasis is place on safety and defensive driving. As the student progresses in confidence and driving skills, course instruction also progresses from light traffic, to heavy traffic and finally to highway driving. Each day has a specific lesson plan with designated driving routes and is started by a review of what was learned from the previous session. The final session is a review and road test. Once the student has successfully passed the road test, the instructor will issue the student his or her temporary driver's license - no need to go to the DMV.
